Advocacy
Hearing Matters Australia actively raises awareness at both community and government levels about the impacts and challenges associated with hearing loss. We highlight practical actions that organisations can take to reduce these impacts and improve accessibility. Through a broad network of disability support organisation, we represent our members and the wider hearing loss community, advocating for their rights and interests.
Supporting people with hearing loss to participate fully in society not only brings clear social and economic benefits but is also a legal obligation for commercial and public service organisations under Australia’s disability discrimination legislation.
