Hearing Help Card
COVID-19 has brought significant challenges for many of us. We have all had to adapt to isolation, limited face-to-face interactions, video meetings, and communicating while wearing masks.
For people with hearing loss, these changes have made communication even harder. Many of us rely on visual cues such as facial expressions, lip reading, and body language. While we may be acutely aware of these difficulties, the people around us might not realise the extra effort required to hear and understand.
Hearing Matters Australia has developed the “Hearing Help" card to provide a simple, practical way to raise awareness. The card lets others know that hearing and understanding may be harder for you, and offers them a gentle way to assist.
You can choose to pin the card to your clothing or carry it with you to show when needed. Our hope is that it helps make everyday communication a little easier.
